Bee Enn College of Nursing observed “World Tuberculosis Day” in collaboration with District Tuberculosis centre, Jammu on 24th March 2021. The theme of world Tuberculosis day 2021 is “ The Clock is ticking” which conveys the sense that the world is running out of time to act on the commitments to end tuberculosis made by global leaders. This is especially critical in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic that has put end TB Progress at risk and to ensure equitable access to prevention and care in live with WHO’s drive towards achieving Universal Health Coverage.
Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal, District Tuberculosis Officer, Jammu welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries. The final year B.Sc Nursing students presented Tuberculosis awareness skit and First Year M.Sc Nursing students & B.Sc Nursing students presented song on Tuberculosis prevention. Cultural Programs were also displayed by G.N.M and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing students. Rangoli and Poster making competitions were held. The mementos and appreciation certificates were distributed by District Tuberculosis centre, Jammu. The program ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Shakuntla Sharma, Principal of the college.
