About the course
B.Sc. Radiography curriculum targeted to develop skilled professionals capable of effectively using imaging technologies for accurate diagnosis and patient care. Students are trained in the operation and maintenance of advanced diagnostic equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines, while emphasizing radiation safety and protection protocols. The course fosters proficiency in performing diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures with precision and adherence to ethical standards. Additionally, it prepares students to work collaboratively in healthcare teams, communicate effectively with patients, and adapt to advancements in imaging technologies to contribute to quality healthcare delivery.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
- Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized Board / University.
- Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
- Candidates should be domiciles of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by the competent authority is acceptable in place of a domicile certificate.
- Lateral entry to second year for candidates who have passed diploma program from the Government Boards and recognized by Jammu and Kashmir Paramedical Council and shall have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as principal subjects and these students are eligible to take admission on lateral entry system only in the same subject studied at diploma level.
